Sasnauskas, Česlovas

Česlovas Sasnauskas (1867-1916) – church organist, composer and publisher, most famous Lithuanian composer in the period of turn of the century. Worked as music director at St. Catherine church, the main catholic church in St. Petersburg. Most popular choir compositions "Kur bėga Šešupė" and "Marija, Marija" became as Lithuanian folk songs.
